Together at Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving (if you celebrate)! I've been hanging on to my Thanksgiving pics from last year because I didn't have any kits that fits the pictures to well. Last year's pics were more about being together with family than the focus on Pilgrims and turkey. Enter JennCk. This month, she put out a fabulous Thanksgiving-themed kit with a focus on being together. In fact, it's called Together. :)

Here are the pages I put together with this kit and the accompanying templates:

Guest CT

Hey everyone. I wanted to pop in and show off some of my recent layouts. I'm lucky enough to be a guest CT member for Sarah Bennett this month. I LOVE her kits and am thrilled that I'm getting the chance to play with them. I've already plowed through 4 layouts and I'm only halfway through the month! So, let's see 'em:

I started off the month with this LO. I really love how it turned out. It's my hubby and youngest son when the baby was only about a week old.

For this LO, I used Sister Sue.

Next, I have two LOs from the same kit; Storytime.

I love this kit!!! It's so fun and bright and just perfect for my little bookworm:

Finally, I just finished this next LO this morning. It's another page for my youngest son's birth-blessing book. This is our first meeting, just after he was born.

For this LO, I used Memories of You and Lined Up Templates.

These kits are so fabulous. I'm having a great time and I can't wait to see what the second half of my stay produces. Check out more of Sarah's products at Scrap Matters.

Catching Up with ASDR 5

How about a ASDR update? I've been through the first 5 challenges and the 6th challenge will be handled by my partner. Since I've got a little break, I'll show off those first 5 pages. :)

The first challenge was to scraplift a page created by our partner and use the lift to showcase something about them.

The second challenge was to create a layout with a them of "5 Things I Love About..." There had to be a 5 in the title, 5 different fonts/alphas, 5 photos with the number 5 in one of them, and 5 different elements of the same type. In my case, I used 5 different buttons.

The third challenge was to use selective coloring in a focal photo, have at least 20 words of journaling and use a date element.

The fourth challenge was, indeed, a challenge for me. My partner and I each had to complete two ATC (Artist Trading Cards). Now, neither of us had ever heard of these, so it was interesting to see what came out of it. We each had to create one card for "The One You Love" and another one showcasing our partner. We decided the best way to showcase each other was to place our LOs on the cards in a patchwork fashion. My two cards are on the right, Bethany's are on the left.

Challenge #5 required us to use at least 6 of the following in our page design: 2 papers, 1 staple, 1 button, 1 ribbon, 1 tree, 1 flower, 1 alpha, 1 set of stitching, 1 frame, 1 tag.
So far, it's been a pretty fun ride, and I'm enjoying the excuse to talk with Bethany more often. :) If you'd like to follow us along, we are team #160. Our forum is HERE. There you will find all the links to my pages in the gallery as well as Bethany's.
