Trixie Scraps CT CALL!!

Okay folks, this is a BIG one! Come join our team:

Trixie Scraps is having a CT Call to fill some job openings on her team! She only has one big call like this per year, so make sure you send your application in! After you check the job posting board, and find a position you are interested in, please send your full name, your forum username(s), a link to your best gallery, and a note telling Trixie why you'd like to be on her team to ctcalls@trixiescraps.com no later than July 30th. All applicants will receive a confirmation of their application upon receipt. A final decision note will be emailed to all applicants no later than August 5th.

Trixie is looking for layout artists and guests, a quickpage artist, a hybrid artist, and a team of special agents (praisers). Requirements are listed above in the ad. Thanks so much for applying for our team - I can't wait to see who will become the next Scrap Star!

(and yes, I totally rocked out that ad. I love this gig!)

Pastel Princess

It's been a while since I put up a freebie for you. I've been working on a few different things for a while, but my creative streak took a nap for a bit. So, unfortunately, so did this. Today, I finally got back to working on them and got this new paper pack finished. I call it Pastel Princess. Enjoy!

I've Taken Over

I've taken over the Trixie Scraps blog to bring everybody a special deal! hehe....check it out:

Sshh! Don't tell the boss! I've commandeered her blog for a minute to let you all in on a super secret sale I've cooked up! I'm going to start popping in when Tracy isn't looking and picking a Trixie Scraps kit to discount for you all. I'm going to call it "Lindsey's Picks." I think it has a nice ring to it...don't you?
And, hey, why not start TODAY!!

This time around, I picked Work It. Around here, we're all busy getting ready for swimsuit season. We're working it! This is such a perfect kit to document that journey from flab to FAB!
Pick it up HERE for (PLEASE don't tell Tracy) 50% OFF!!!

I don't know how long I can keep it discounted before she finds out, but I'm pretty sure 3 days is about all the time we'll get for this. So, make sure you nab it by this Saturday, June 12. This discount ONLY applies to the personal Trixie Scraps store; I can't monkey around in those other ones. So, my fellow scrappers, make your move. Until next time...

Guest CT

Hey everyone. I wanted to pop in and show off some of my recent layouts. I'm lucky enough to be a guest CT member for Sarah Bennett this month. I LOVE her kits and am thrilled that I'm getting the chance to play with them. I've already plowed through 4 layouts and I'm only halfway through the month! So, let's see 'em:

I started off the month with this LO. I really love how it turned out. It's my hubby and youngest son when the baby was only about a week old.

For this LO, I used Sister Sue.

Next, I have two LOs from the same kit; Storytime.

I love this kit!!! It's so fun and bright and just perfect for my little bookworm:

Finally, I just finished this next LO this morning. It's another page for my youngest son's birth-blessing book. This is our first meeting, just after he was born.

For this LO, I used Memories of You and Lined Up Templates.

These kits are so fabulous. I'm having a great time and I can't wait to see what the second half of my stay produces. Check out more of Sarah's products at Scrap Matters.

Catching Up with ASDR 5

How about a ASDR update? I've been through the first 5 challenges and the 6th challenge will be handled by my partner. Since I've got a little break, I'll show off those first 5 pages. :)

The first challenge was to scraplift a page created by our partner and use the lift to showcase something about them.

The second challenge was to create a layout with a them of "5 Things I Love About..." There had to be a 5 in the title, 5 different fonts/alphas, 5 photos with the number 5 in one of them, and 5 different elements of the same type. In my case, I used 5 different buttons.

The third challenge was to use selective coloring in a focal photo, have at least 20 words of journaling and use a date element.

The fourth challenge was, indeed, a challenge for me. My partner and I each had to complete two ATC (Artist Trading Cards). Now, neither of us had ever heard of these, so it was interesting to see what came out of it. We each had to create one card for "The One You Love" and another one showcasing our partner. We decided the best way to showcase each other was to place our LOs on the cards in a patchwork fashion. My two cards are on the right, Bethany's are on the left.

Challenge #5 required us to use at least 6 of the following in our page design: 2 papers, 1 staple, 1 button, 1 ribbon, 1 tree, 1 flower, 1 alpha, 1 set of stitching, 1 frame, 1 tag.
So far, it's been a pretty fun ride, and I'm enjoying the excuse to talk with Bethany more often. :) If you'd like to follow us along, we are team #160. Our forum is HERE. There you will find all the links to my pages in the gallery as well as Bethany's.
